Fun Creative Activities for Music Enthusiasts

Music workshops can be a great way to explore particular themes or topics, play with some technology, and take part in an exercise in self-expression - ideal for disadvantaged young people.

Activities can include:

  • learning how to make and record music on a computer with free software

  • introduction to music technology (can be accredited where required)

  • rapping and singing into a microphone

  • performance coaching

  • mixing and editing

  • creating music and sound for video

When given access to modern creative technology, young people can become remarkably creative. Exploration of beats and rapping can provide imaginative and stimulating ways to engage with numeracy and literacy.
